Temporary Main Entrance

As part of the new 42 Bed Block Development we are upgrading our hospitals entrance. The temporary main entrance will be in place from the 24th November 2025 to February 2026 to facilitate these upgrade works.

The below patient information leaflet will be sent out with all relevant post and will be available in the hospital throughout the works:

The main entrance will move from the current location on The Mall:

To the temporary new entrance is approximately 65m. further down The Mall (away from Sligo town and towards the Atlantic Technological University (ATU) on Ash Lane.:

Signs & Directions

Both the internal and external signs of the hospital has been reviewed and replaced with new signs to make finding your way through the hospital easier during the 42-Bed Block Development works.

Drop-Off

A small number of drop-off spaces will be available at the temoporary main entrance. These spaces are only for short-term use to facilitate drop-off of patients close to the hospital entrance who may not be able to walk from the main car-park for a variety of reasons.

Entrance

You will now enter the hospital on Level 2. An Information and Reecption area are at the temporary entrance to the hospital if you need assistance. Seating and wheelchairs are available in this reception area. You can access both the lifts and stairs to all other areas of the hospital from Level 2. You can find information about the locations of services in our Floor Directory which is clearly displayed in relevant areas of the hospital including lifts and stairs. The majority of Outpatient Clinics are on Level 3 and Level 4. The majority of hospital wards are on Level 4 to Level 8.
